Hanoverian Pearls is a bonus pattern for Mary, Queen of Socks.

Hanoverian Pearls were worn by not just Mary, Queen of Scots but also Catherine de Medici (they were her wedding gift from Pope Clement VII), Queen Elizabeth I, and they’re still in the collection of Queen Elizabeth II to this day. They were given to Queen Mary from her husband Francis II and then stripped from her by her brother when she was forced to abdicate.

This little stocking ornament has pearls that run around the edging and will sit perfectly on your tree or if you’re adventurous, you can make a string of these little socks for an advent calendar or to use advent calendar minis. One sock will easily work up in an evening and uses 6-7 grams of fingering weight yarn (depending on if you make the icord hanger).
