This slightly cropped, three-quarter-sleeve pullover is a perfect layer to pull on over a dress or short-sleeved top when temperatures dip. The easy ribbed eyelet motif at the hem is suitable for an adventurous beginner (or a more advanced knitter who wants a relaxing knit).

The sweater is constructed from the bottom up, in the round to the armholes and then back and forth in rows through the upper body. Stitches are picked up around armhole openings and worked with short rows for nicely fitted sleeve caps. If desired, the body and sleeves can easily be lengthened (although this will require more yarn, so make sure you have extra on hand). Pattern includes instructions for a full-length sleeve modification.

Knit Picks Twill Worsted (100% merino wool); 149 yds/136 m per 100g skein; 5 (6, 6, 7, 8 / 8, 9, 10, 11) skeins in Fiddlehead

Recommended needles:
US #8 [5.0 mm] 24-40” circular needle, or one size bigger than needle used for gauge

US #7 [4.5 mm] 24-40”circular needle and set of double-pointed needles (or preferred type of needles for small circumferences in the round), or size needed to get gauge listed below

US #6 [4.0 mm] 16-24” circular needle and set of double-pointed needles (or preferred type of needles for small circumferences in the round), or one size smaller than needle used for gauge

19 sts/26 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch on middle size needles

PATTERN NOTE
