Inspired by the traditional Shetland hap blankets, the combination of chunky yarn, big needles, squishy garter stitch and some easy lace makes for a winning baby or lap blanket.

Please note, I used almost the entire skein, so if you are knitting at a looser gauge, or plan to make it larger, count on needing a second skein (you may want to pick up or place and extra skein on hold, just in case).
