Sometimes all you need is a cheery colour palette in a luxurious yarn to make even the simplest project into a statement piece. Our Happy Baby Blanket does just that with six colours of Il Punto Forte in easy-as-pie garter stitch. This blanket is not only a suitable project for a complete beginner but also a pleasantly mindless knit for more experienced knitters. The only hard part will be choosing which colours to use. You can stick to primary colours as we did, try a rainbow, or experiment with any combination that strikes your fancy. See photos for the three colour palettes we have chosen for our kits.

Our sample used one ball each of colours 150, 46, 110, 40, 356, and 611.

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4.5mm (US 7) 60cm/24” circular needles, or size to obtain gauge
Darning needle

GAUGE
Approx. 21 sts x 46 rows = 10cm/4” in garter stitch, after blocking. Changes in gauge will affect meterage required and finished size.
