_______________
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BANNER is a great way of creating an eye-catching wall-hanging or table runner for a special birthday. As the letters build up from side-to-side, each letter can be made in a different colour making this a fantastic stash buster.
You can use any weight yarn you want - although the heavier the weight the larger the banner. It is also suggested that you use a hook one size smaller than that recommended on the yarn band, to create a firm and close texture.
The pattern includes written instructions, charts and some helpful hints and tips to make your project easier. You will also get instructions on stitch placement, reading the charts and descriptions and some other, more general, hints and tips.
Both right-handed and left-handed stitch sequences are included.
The pattern uses basic Overlay Mosaic Crochet techniques and is great for the novice in this technique.
The final banner size, using Stylecraft Special Aran was around 47” x 12” / 117cm x 30cm
