This design has a story ….

Every once in a while 2 designers can be working on very similar patterns completely independently at the same time.

I was almost ready to send these socks to my Tech Editor, when I noticed that she had just published a sock pattern using the same stitch pattern. Very graciously she agreed to let me go ahead with my version, and knitters now have the option of top down (this pattern) or the toe-up Maida Vale by Jo Torr (www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/maida-vale-2).

It’s taken a little longer than I hoped to get these published, but here there are now for all to enjoy.
