Happy Colors Heart
This colorful crochet heart works up quickly and is fun to make. It’s worked in simple single crochet, suitable for a beginner with some experience while the shaping and color changes should keep things interesting, even for an experienced crocheter. The motif requires very little yarn, so it’s a great stash buster. The example is made in 6 colors of Red Heart Super Saver, but any worsted yarn can be used (or other weights with appropriate hook sizes). Depending on your gauge, the heart measures about 7” across the widest part by 5.5” down the middle and about 6.5” from highest edge to lowest point. It can be used as an applique to decorate other items and projects or made into a hanging decoration or a magnet. Even if Valentine’s Day is around the corner, you’ll have time to make several of these. Crochet a few for yourself and more to give as gifts!
