Happy Everything Motif
This pattern is a motif designed to hang well for a bunting or be used to embellish pockets, makes wraps, or textured baby blankets. I’ve included some pictures to see how each motif works as a ‘flag’ on bunting.
I recommend using 100% cotton yarn (although the pattern would take well to being made in any worsted weight yarn). The cotton displays the texture of the various stitches and was precisely chosen for this reason. The texture and repeated color changes make this motif very vibrant and eye catching.
Besides a color variety of cotton yarn (4 colors recommended), you will also need a 4mm hook and yarn needle to finish off ends.
Hook: I recommend using a full mm smaller than the yarn variety calls for to create a neater and more tightly woven fabric. The yarn I used called for a 5mm hook, I used a 4mm to get the right tension.
