Happy Floral Cushion
My new cushions really make me happy!
Every time I pass them - they are bringing a smile on my face!
They make any couch, chair, bed or hammock look a bit happier!
Every guest in the house makes a comment on them - and they all want a cushion of their own! Maybe the perfect gift for Christmas…..
This pattern has been entirely tested. Thank you to my lovely testers:
Small cushion: knittingforbear / zindah /-threads-/ gruenhopper
Large cushion: arryielle / knittingforbear
Construction The cushions are made in 2 pieces; front and back. Front is made in-the-round starting in the center from a provisional cast-on (of 8 sts only). Worked in the round and from right side only until the diameter of the circle has achieved the same measurement as the finished cushion. From then work is divided in 4, and each corner of the cushion is worked back and forth.
Back of cushion is worked in stockinette sts. The front of the cushion is blocked into shape, and back and front are seamed together from WS on 3 sides.
I put in a zipper along 1 of the sides - but you might find another way to close your cushion; such as buttons, ribbons….ter of the circel has achieved the same measurement as the finished cushion. From then work is divided in 4, and each corner of the cushion is worked back and forth.
