Free Happy Friends Socks pattern

The socks are knitted top down in crocodile stitch on the leg and two-rows-stripes on the foot, with short rows heel in contrast colors. It’s easy and fun project perfect for leftover sand scraps.

1. 18cm/7” (2. 21cm/8”) 3. 24cm/9.4”

Knitted socks are intended to have 1-2 cm of negative ease – it means that your finished sock is going to stretch just a bit on your foot but not as the factory made socks. Take your time to get measurements and knit the gauge.

GAUGE
30 sts x 46 rows in PATTERN on a 2.25 mm (US size 1 / UK size 13) needle = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)

NEEDLES
2,25 mm (US size 1 / UK size 13) sock needles of your choice: DPNS, short circulars or long circular for Magic Loop (min.80cm/36”) or other size you need to obtain the gauge.
Adjust needle size to obtain the gauge.

MATERIALS
60–100 gram /250–420 meters / 260-428 yards in total of hobbii Friends Sock Wool. Yarn amount depends on the size, foot and leg length you are about to knit.
