Happy Hat
Suitable for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Pattern requires ability to cast on, knit, slip stitches, and decrease by knitting two stitches together at once. This hat pattern calls for fingering weight and mohair held together and knits up surprisingly quickly as a result. The Happy Hat has a classic look with a fun textured pattern featured on the brim. Pattern is available in English only.
Yarn
Requires approximately 175 yards Sock/Fingering weight and approximately 175 yards of Mohair
You could easily make 2 hats out of one skein of each of the recommended yarns - one for you and one for a friend!
One size (can easily be made larger or smaller).
Needles
Smaller - 16” US 4/3.5 mm circular needles (or size required to obtain gauge)
Larger – 16” US 6/4.0 mm circular needles (or size required to obtain gauge)
DPNs are optional but not required. The decrease section can be completed on the 16” circulars used for the body of the hat if following the pattern as written.
