HAPPY HEART COASTER or APPLIQUE

I am delighted to share my Happy Heart crochet pattern which includes instructions for a large heart that can be enjoyed as a Coaster or an applique, a small heart applique and 4 types of trim. Attach the appliques to blankets, purses, pillows or make a bunting or wall hanging.

SKILLS

This is an easy crochet pattern suitable for the beginner with a little experience. Detailed step by step photo tutorials are included so anyone can be successful in making the coaster or applique.

Skills and stitches used include making chains, single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitch, magic ring, working in rounds.

Any Medium Worsted #4 Cotton Yarn for the Coaster
Any Medium Worsted #4 Yarn for the Appliques
Lily Sugar’n Cream, Estelle Sudz and Drops Paris were used for the samples

FINISHED SIZES

Large Heart Coaster/Applique: 4.5-4 in (11.4-10.2 cm) x 6-5.5 in (15.2-14 cm)
Small Heart Applique: 3-4 in (7.6-10.2 cm) x 3-4 in (7.6-10.2 cm)
