Happy Heartbeat DK Socks
Happy Heartbeat SOCKS from the Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy DK Socks Collection.
The Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy DK Socks Collection is designed because I bought a pair of outdoor boots that happened to be JUST a tiny bit too large.I hate to wear boots that are too narrow, especially in wintertime when feet are easily getting cold if they haven’t enough room to move a little. But is also not nice when there is the possibility of skin rubbing because your feet have too much room. That is why I wanted to design thicker socks that would fit perfect around my feet and fill up that bit of extra room.
Si Sjo’s Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy DK socks have a German short row heel (without holes! due to a special technique) and have a perfect fit.
They will come in three different stitch pattern versions and Happy Heartbeat sock pattern is the first of them.
YARN : I used DK weight yarn for these socks - that has 150 m on a skein of 50 gram. The yarn was handdyed in my own atelier - there are a few skeins available in Si Sjo’s Etsy shop, but of course you can use any yarn with the same gauge. The gauge is 22 st and 28 rows on 10 x 10 cm.
The socks are knitted on needlesize 4 eu.
YARNSUGGESTIONS: Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend, if you want to knit the socks with a single thread.
You’ll need 100 gram DK yarn for a pair of socks sizes 36 - 40. NEEDLES: four sockneedles size 4 eu
The pattern is written for 3 sizes: 36/37 38/39 and 40/41
There are a lot of images in this booklet. If you want to print it, consider printing only the uneven pages with the description. To save paper, ink & contribute to environment protection.
