FINISHED SIZE: Approximately 6½” wide by 12” long

SKILL LEVEL: Easy+/Intermediate

SUPPLIES:
Yarn: Knit Picks Comfy Worsted or equivalent
75% pima cotton, 25% acrylic
1 ball Blackberry (approximately 80 yards/36 grams)
1 ball Vinca (approximately 30 yards/13 grams)
1 ball White (small amount)
1 ball Black (small amount)

Hooks: G (4.00 mm) hook

Other: Velcro (hook and loop closure)
2 pieces of white wool felt for Hippo teeth, approximately ½” X ¼” each (optional-crocheted teeth instructions provided)

Notions: stitch markers, yarn needle, needle and matching thread

NOTES: Pattern is written using standard US stitches.
sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet

GAUGE: Gauge checkpoints are given in the pattern. Exact gauge is not essential in this project. When checking gauge, measure from the last stitch made all the way across.
