This little cardigan and hat was made from an idea for one of my grandchildren.

It is a very simple pattern to make up, if you can work single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, you can make this pattern!

The cardigan and hat are made with worsted weight yarn (aran/10ply), and with your trusty 5mm hook.

Nice and roomy, with a little “swing” in the design to be able to wear over a fuller dress or skirt.

The design is such that if you move the buttons to the other side, you can make a jacket for a little boy.

The hat can be made into a beanie, a cloche or a sunhat, instructions are given for all three.

I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I have in making it.
