The Happy Hood is knit from the bottom up. The pattern involves both knitting in the round and flat. Features stockinette and rib stitches as well as vikkel braids and an icord.

The pattern is written for finished measurements of:

Neck circumference: 16 ½”
Length from top of head to bottom of neck rib: 12 ½”
Face opening: 20 ½” total circumference

but can easily be adjusted as you knit. There is a note for adding stitches to create a larger size if necessary. This garment can also easily be tried on as you knit to ensure the desired fit.

Testers also knit this using DK weight yarn held single.
