Happy Hours
Take it easy and enjoy a few happy hours while crocheting this blanket. Each joyful little hexagon is made from 4 rounds of double crochet stitches. Use up tiny scraps of yarn and go with the flow to create a fun color combination. You can make any size blanket you like.

Yarn
Dk weight (light, category 3). You will need about 2,550 yards (2,331 meters) of yarn.
The sample blanket used the equivalent 4.5 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn scraps from the Mothra, Liger, Wood Nymph, Diagon Alley, Arendelle, and Troll colorways. This is about 645 grams of dk weight yarn scraps. The main body of the blanket uses about 4 cakes (570 grams or 2,360 yards or 2,160 m) and the border uses about ½ cake of Mandala yarn (75 grams or 295 yards or 270 m).
Any yarn will work for this blanket. You can use a thicker yarn and a larger hook if you like. If you use a thicker yarn, your blanket will be larger and you may need more yards of yarn than listed here. Use the hook size recommended on the yarn label.
Hook size: 5 mm (US H) for blanket, 4 mm (US G) for border
Gauge: 4 rounds = 4.5 inches 11.4 cm
