Happy Hugs for Valentine’s Day and every day!

A huggable softie that is perfect sized for a toddler’s small hands. Make many types of monsters with this pattern by changing the hands, feet, horns, mouth and by using different colored yarns.

Sewing stitches used: Whip stitch and the blanket stitch for attaching pieces

Red Heart Super Saver yarn, cornmeal color, and small amounts of green and blue

H crochet hook
One – felt red oval for nose; or make with yarn
One – small tan piece of craft felt for the smile, cut into a smile
One- small square white piece of craft felt cut for triangle teeth
Fabric scissors (These cut felt the best for nice edging but not necessary)
Permanent Fabric adhesive (I used Aleene’s OK to Wash It) or sewing supplies
Polyester fiberfill– I used super cushy Morning Glory Cluster Stuff for softness but you could also use a firmer fiberfill.

No gauge necessary for this huggable softie

Feel free to use your favorite colors to make all types of different monsters!

Finished size is 10 to 12 inches depending on your choice of yarn and hook.
