Happy New Year Hat
I made this hat in two nights, and finished before midnight on New Year’s Eve. Hence the name! Probably took about 2 - 3 hours all together. I love the contrast between the black & the colorful stripes. I just kind of winged this one…I’ve made a zillion beanies using a standard beanie pattern with double crochet, but wasn’t totally sure about spacing out the clusters in this one. Somehow it actually worked out!
I did not use the full skein of either type of yarn, (only bought 1 skein of each) and probably could make 2 more hats with them. I was a bit vague with the yardage for that reason.
I didn’t do a gauge swatch. I probably will… at some point… or at least measure how many clusters in a 4X4….
