The design begins at the neck similar to a neck tab. This continues down the shawl to create a beautiful seed stitch edging on each side of the shawl. There are three separate sections of design, two of these have beads included in the design. The beads are optional and the shawl can be knit without the beads. A Picot Bind Off gives this shawl a pretty finish.

The charts are in three separate files to be downloaded in addition to the written instructions.
