SHORT SUMMARY

The Hare’s Meadow Dash Sweater is an oversized, top-down raglan sweater with a simple seamless construction. It comes in ten adult sizes and offers both cropped and regular body length options. Additionally, you can choose from four neckline styles: double neck, turtleneck, mock turtleneck, and crew neck.

Knit in one piece from the top down, this sweater uses the magic loop method with raglan increases. Short rows are incorporated at the top of the yoke to elevate the back neck for an improved fit. While I used German short rows, you can opt for any short-row technique. The colorwork yoke includes long floats, so I recommend using the Ladderback Jacquard technique for better tension management.

This sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 4” / 10 cm – 12”/ 30 cm of positive ease; however, this is just a guide. Some people prefer a closer fit; do not be afraid to select an option that provides somewhat less than the suggested ease according to your own preferences.

Notes:

The pattern is available in sizes XXS to 5X, with a separate graphic chart for each size. Since each size has its own knitting chart, I suggest printing only the one for your size.

For this pattern, I recommend using the Ladderback Jacquard technique due to the long floats. Ladderback Jacquard is a technique used in stranded colorwork to create long floats while keeping the fabric stretchy and even. It reduces puckering and prevents floats from being too tight, making it ideal for large color blocks or widely spaced motifs.
I placed ladders every 4 or 5 stitches and used stranded colorwork wherever it was most convenient. If you’re unfamiliar with making ladders, there are many tutorials on YouTube demonstrating how to create Ladderback Jacquard. It’s a simple and fascinating technique!
