Harlequin Headband
This pattern was inspired by a 1950’s retro headband I’ve had for 20 years, but it got all stretched out and gross. lol. I learned a new Tunisian stitch that looks exactly like it! It works up fairly fast too.
It’s created using a double-ended Tunisian crochet hook and worked in the round. An 8 - 10” hook is fine for this project.
The pattern includes photos and a companion video tutorial to help you learn this stitch.
Pattern also includes calculations for varying head sizes from 7” (18 cm) to 26” (66 cm) and how many chains you will need to start for each size.
I used I love This Cotton in Black & White. Crystal used black and an ombre yarn, which looks really awesome! This is the same stitch used in my other pattern for the Rainbow Fish Socks/Booties & Hat - Once you learn it, you’ll LOVE it. I want to help you learn, so if you have any questions - please e-mail me - I’m happy to help.
I hope you enjoy this pattern.
If you don’t mind creating a project page and tagging me - I would absolutely <3 to see your finished works.
