This hat is worked very loosely, using an I/9 (5.50) mm hook with DK weight yarn, which makes it work up quickly and able to be easily adjusted to different styles. Can be worn pushed back with plenty of ‘slouch’ at the back or pulled down and folded back at midpoint or band.

The stitch produces a fabric which looks equally good on both sides. Seamless, worked in one piece.

(I hand dyed the Baby size sample, which was originally made of white cotton). It is best to follow instructions on dye but I’ve included a few notes of my own:)
