Harlow Green is the estate behind the Angel of the North in Gateshead, my home town, and the vertical eyelets remind me of the houses going up the hill.
I have used West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4 ply in Chocolate Lime and Brambles & Me Ridge in Rolling Hills, but these can be knit with any colours and at whatever gauge you find best for your socks.
This is a quick and enjoyable pattern and a good introduction to lace socks.
