This started as an experiment because I had a single hank of some beautiful hand-dyed yarn, and no idea what to make with it. I have long enjoyed working Tunisian mosaic crochet in the round for blankets, and decided to use that technique to make a cowl. I chose a contrasting plain yarn in a similar weight for the Return pass, so that the simple, repeating motif is picked out on the Forward pass using Tunisian Reverse stitch. This cowl is worked in spiral rounds on a double-ended Tunisian hook. The cowl starts with a row of conventional double crochet (US single crochet) to provide a base, and then changes to the Tunisian hook. The top border of the cowl is worked in Tunisian Honeycomb stitch, to prevent curling. I have included both a chart for the mosaic section and full written instructions for this cowl.
