This top may look barely there but high armholes and the thickness of the fairisle pattern give a little more coverage than might seem obvious at first glance. An experienced knitter can make this in an hour or two and a beginner can certainly finish it in a day. Make a young lady very happy! For the fairisle design, use any punchcard or electronic fairisle design that is tiny and has very short floats.

YARN, GAUGE, SIZE AND MACHINE
Mary Lue’s Harmony in 2 colors: orange and ecru. Any light weight yarn that can get the gauge is also acceptable. Standard gauge. Patterning ability is needed. Also can be made on the fine gauge at a larger stitch size. 10 stitches and 10.44 rows per inch at stitch size 4 when working in fairisle. To fit bust 30, 32, 34. There is a little leeway because the top ties on. Length for all sizes is 11”.

HARMONY HALTER TOP
For standard gauge machines with fairisle capability, sized to fit bust 30-34 using Mary Lue’s Harmony or similar lightweight, soft yarn.
SKINNY MINNIE is a stretchy tube top with sizes to fit bust 24-40. Yarn with a lycra or other stretchy fiber is used. This may be run-along yarn or stretch spun into the yarn. Depending on how and whether straps are added, this can be a summer top, winter warmth layer or yoga bra.
