Harrietta the Pig

Materials
Number 4 worsted weight yarn in two colors, Number 1 fingering weight yarn for facial features
(I used Red Heart super saver pink, Big Twist Twinkle light pink, and Cotton Kings 8/4 cone in 03/black)
3 mm crochet hook
4.5 mm crochet hook (for the ears)
Safety eyes (I used 8 mm)
Stuffing
Yarn needle
Scissors
Locking stitch markers, paper clips, or safety pins
Finished measurements
6 inches tall (15 cm) 4 inches wide at the ears (10 cm) 3 inches wide at the body (7.5 cm)
4 inches deep including tail (10 cm)
Your toy may vary in size if you use a different yarn or crochet hook size
Stitches used
Slip knot: put a loop around your finger and pull a loop from the back to the front through the loop on your finger, put that loop onto your hook and tighten
Ch: chain – pull a loop through the loop on your hook
Magic ring: wrap the yarn around your finger twice, take the loops off your finger and insert your hook and bring up a loop through the center, chain 1.
SC: single crochet
DC: double crochet
tr: treble crochet
inc: increase, put 2 SC in the same stitch on the previous round
inv dec: put your crochet hook from front to back of the front loop of the next two stitches from the previous round, pull up a loop, complete a SC
bpsc: back post single crochet – put your hook into the next stitch from back to front and then from front to back of the next stitch, pull up a loop and complete a SC
FLO: front loop only
BLO: back loop only
CC: contrast color (I used pink)
MC: main color (I used light pink)
