Mitered Knitting
Knitting Procedure
The striped Jacket is worked in garter stitch. Work the Back Panel vertically. Join one Hip Part and then the other. On top of each Hip Part join the Sleeve Parts, which are the upper side part of the Back and Front and the Sleeves. The different parts are joined as you go. Even the sleeve has no seam, but for the rem sts on top of the sleeve, which are grafted together with kitchener sts. Finally you work a large collar onto the jacket.

Yarn Note
This instruction is written for a kit. The amount of yarn is therefore calculated for the largest size.
You may end up with too much yarn.
This jacket is designed as a tribute to Harrisville Designs that is a Company with a 200 year history of weaving and spinning. My idea was to create a jacket combined by the Danish woven textiles that my great grandmother would make and put them together as an American quilt. The only seams are from the elbows and down.
