Poolaknits Harry is a fun striped sweater, with the European shoulder-design and a relaxed fit. The sweater is knitted top down in one piece, starting from the top of the back, which is knitted flat and from where stitches are picked up to for the front part. The front and back parts are joined in the round from the armpits. The rest of the work is knitted in the round. Both the sweater hem and the sleeves have a ribbing and at the end the ribbed neckline is folded for a finished look.

Note! The sweater has around 15-25 cm / 6-10 inches of positive ease, so pick a size that is around 15-25 cm / 6-10 inches larger than your own bust circumference (or widest part). If you want the sweater to be of a tighter fit, choose a size that is closer to your bust circumference.

The sweater pictured in the pattern was knitted with

• Säiewool merino sock (in double) in colorways Whale Hale (blue), Dove Hush (light), Wonder Wander (pink) and Froggy Retreat (green)
• Säiewool merino DK in colorway John Lemon
• Knitting for Olive heavy merino in colorway Mushroom

You can knit the sweater with whatever DK-strength yarn or a combination of yarns, as long as you meet the gauge.

Knitting needles:

• 3 mm / US2.5: double pointed needles and 60 cm or 80 cm / 24 or 32 inch circular needles
• 4 mm / US6: 40 cm /16 inch and 60 cm or 80 cm /24 or 32 inch circular needles

Other materials: stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge (in stockinette stitch): 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inch = 20 sts x 30 rows. (Alter the needle size to meet the gauge)

IN FINNISH:
Harry on leveillä raidoilla rytmitetty neule, jossa on lasketut eli “eurooppalaiset” olkapäät, mainio istuvuus ja rennon väljä mitoitus. Harry neulotaan ylhäältä alas yhtenä kappaleena aloittaen selän yläosasasta, joka neulotaan tasona ja josta poimitaan silmukat etukappaleelle. Pääntie muotoillaan lisäyksin hartia kerrallaan. Työ yhdistetään kainaloista suljetuksi neuleeksi, kun etu- ja takakappaleet ovat riittävän pitkät. Hihoille poimitaan silmukat ja hihat neulotaan suljettuna neuleena. Helmassa ja hihansuissa on joustinneuleresorit ja pääntielle neulotaan lopuksi kaksinkerroin taitettava joustinneuleresori. Voit neuloa Harryn raidallisena ohjeen mukaan tai ilman raitoja – tai raidoittaa neuleen oman makusi mukaan vaikka jämälangoista.
