Harry Potter Glasses Square
This pattern is not endorsed by J.K. Rowling nor is it a Harry Potter licensed product. I am simply a fan creating a blanket for my own personal use.
This pattern was adapted from another ravelry user’s pattern to fit the parameters I needed and to reflect my own creativity. The original FREE pattern can be found here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/harrys-glasses
In double-sided knitting, this works up to a 14” blocked square on size 7 needles. Without blocking it is 12” x 14”. CO 47 for this method, with the first and last stitches on each row a double stranded knit stitch to tie the sides together. Then follow pattern.
In single stranded knitting, with purls on border and design, it works up to an 8” blocked square. CO 45 for this method and follow pattern with gray portions done in a purl stitch. Works better to alternate knit/purl stitches on border in a checkerboard pattern so it lays flat.
I prefer Joann’s Big Twist Premium yarn for this project.
I will upload a picture of my personal square when complete.
Please feel free to message me any questions as I’m a new designer :)
