HARRY STYLES INSPIRED CROCHETED SWEATER

The pattern is fairly easy and the colors chosen are at your discretion.

This pattern was converted from a knitted pattern I used by @confessions_of_a_yarnaholic (Ruth Herring) with additional help and guidance by the YouTuber Brunaticality.

This was created for my daughter’s upcoming birthday and I needed it to be finished fast. I was hesitant about doing it because I haven’t really made a sweater in a LOOOOOONG time so I wanted to follow the pattern as much as I could. Using both the written pattern by Ruth Herring and watching the assembly and tricks by Brunaticality, I think I was able to create a good sweater!!! I rate myself a B

Size H - Crochet Hook

  • Size G - Crochet Hook
  • Size F - Crochet Hook
  • 6 approximately 1” size buttons (colors your choice), I used black - purchased fromJoannes.com
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Embroidery Thread & Needle (black)
  • Yarn; (all purchased online at herrschners.com) Premier® Everyday Bulky Yarn - 4 black, 4 red, 3 green Willow YarnsTM Wash Bulky Yarn - 3 orange, 3 yellow, 1 blue Caron® Simply Soft® Yarn - 2 red

Follow the pattern or be adventuresome! I think that this is a good representation of the OG Harry Style’s Cardigan

Special considerations as per my daughter’s request:

  • Each square measures 5” x 5” - She wanted it to be oversized but it had to fit her frame. This took time to determine the right sizing she is 5’ 1”
  • Converted from a knitted pattern to a crochet pattern to finish faster (time constraint)
  • Squares can really be any color and/or pattern
