Hartford Vest
-Hartford is a timeless, sleek, long vest perfect for fall and winter layering!
-The stitch pattern mimics a 2 x 1 knit rib look but is all CROCHET!
-Pattern length is customizable to your optimal length preference, notes on how to adjust that are included in the pattern.
-Panels are worked horizontally rather than vertically, meaning we are working from side to side rather than bottom up. 2 panels will be made, then seamed at the shoulders, and from that point we will add our finishing touches before seaming.
-Pattern is written according to CYC standard Women’s Measurement Guidelines and is written as follows: XS(S,M,L)(XL,2X,3X,4X,5X) and accommodates busts 30”-62” before factoring in ~2” of positive ease.
-Pattern uses worsted weight (category 4) yarn. Sample uses Lion Brand Heartland Yarn in color Sequioa, approximately 760(820,912,1005)(1130,1250,1375,1520,1680)yards. You can use any similar weight yarn that matches gauge.
-The sides are designed with a vent (long slit), but you can very easily omit or customize the length of this.
-A resource guide is provided where you can find visuals organized in one spot.
Gauge Info:
4” x 4” = 13 st x 17 rows in stitch pattern sequence with a 6mm hook or size needed to obtain gauge.
Stitch pattern sequence: 1 row of hdc BLO followed by 3 rows of slst blo, then repeat those 4 rows in sequence.
Gauge swatch is measured BLOCKED.
Happy crocheting!
