1 NEEDLE SIZE - 2 SKEINS - 3 PROJECTS

Back in 2011 I designed a hat called Harvest Star. Using an easy lace stitch, a star pattern was formed at the top, hence the name “Harvest Star”.

The Harvest Star Collection is this lace pattern reinterpreted. Using size US-2 needles and 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn you are able to knit 3 matching projects - a hat, fingerless mitts, and a cowl. The beauty and uniqueness of each skein of yarn is able to show through, both on it’s own and paired together. All patterns are knit on US-2 (2.75mm) needles, in our Gina fingering weight yarn. Although the lace pattern is relatively simple, due to the number of skills needed to complete the projects this is an advanced beginners project.

For reference size - The child model in the photos is 12 years old.

For the fingerless mitts two sizes are given, Small fits up to 7” and Medium fits up 8”. Two options given for completing the thumbs, both can be seen in the pictures to the left.

The hat is written to fit heads 18” - 22”.
