Harvest Vest
This vest is worked top-down, starting from the saddle shoulders. After picking up stitches and joining the saddles together you work the back flat, down to the armpit. Then you pick up one front at a time and work the V, before joining all pieces together and working to the end in the round. The pattern contains instructions for the intarsia sun and other embellishments, but if you prefer a plain vest (see second picture) you can do that too. There are no instructions for the striping - use your creativity.
Tester difficulty rating varied wildly but I think this pattern takes a fairly experienced knitter.
