The Harvold is worked in the round using Cestari Bulky and
finished with your choice of cording. We used a simple leather
lace to snug up the ankle and keep out the chill.
Yarn
Approximately 140 yd /128 m bulky weight yarn
Shown in Cestari 3-Ply Bulky (100% Merino wool, 70 yd /
64 m per 100g skein). Color: Black Locust; 2 skeins.
Gauge
10 sts/ 12 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in single crochet worked flat
in rows (unblocked)
Size
Length of sole: Small: 9 in / 23 cm fits women’s shoe size
5–6½; Medium: 9.5 in / 24 cm fits women’s shoe size 7–8½,
Large: 10 in / 25.5 cm fits women’s shoe size 9–10½ or
men’s shoe size 8–9.
Hooks
Hook sizes are recommendations only; always use hook size
necessary to achieve given gauge.
US L / 8 mm hook (we used Clover brand)
Notions
Tapestry needle, three removable split ring stitch markers
(choose one in a different color for end of round), scissors,
2 yd / 1.8 m leather cord for the pair
