Hastings Mitts
Knit City is an amazing fiber festival held each Autumn in Vancouver, Canada. The leaves are starting to change colour, and the air is suddenly a touch cooler. This sets the mood for all of the knitters to start planning their winter projects. Knit City draws makers from all over the world, and it is such a special weekend when we can all connect. We love to take home not only yarn, but heartfelt memories sure to last until we meet again next year. The event is held at the PNE Forum on East Hastings street, and it is in honour of my favourite fiber festival that these mitts get their name. Happy Knitting, Friends!

One of my favourite projects to knit is a colorwork mitten. I love that every row is a bit different. This keeps my attention and I find these grow so quickly! They hardly take much yarn, and you can mix and match any leftovers that you may have. I loved designing this pattern in Sweet Georgia yarn, as I have been such a fan for so long. Any of their beautiful colours will shine in this pattern.
