The unusual “honeycomb” stitch pattern on this hat is made with slipped stitches and twisted stitches. The slipped stitches create a very thick and warm fabric, great for cold weather! The hat is very easy and fun to knit!

The idea for this hat came from my friend Kathy who asked me if I could design a hat in a stitch that looks like honeycomb. She even sent me the cute bee buttons for inspiration! Thank you so much, Kathy! : )

The hat is made in the round and does not require sewing.

The pattern is available in three sizes:

• 6-9 months: to fit a baby with head circumference of 16”-18”
• 2 years + : to fit a child with head circumference of 18”-20.5”
• child/adult: to fit a child or an average lady with head circumference of 21”-23”

Yarn used: any thicker version of #4 medium worsted (10ply) yarn
Gauge: 4 sts per 1” in stockinette stitch
