Construction. The Max Mara hat is worked bottom up in rounds and has a fixed folded edge providing extra warm and protection from wind. The half-brioche pattern makes the hat elastic and gives it perfect fit, in addition the crown top shaped in four-wedges looks elegant.

Needles. Circular needles 3 mm and 3,5 mm (40cm).
Gage. 22,5 stitches and 48 rows (10cm x 10cm) in PATTERN on 3,5mm needles.

Original yarn: white and brown hats - Zegna Baruffe Cashwool (100% bobbin merino wool, 100g/1500m in 8 folds, final weight: 100g/180m or 50g/90m). Terracote hat - Alize Merino Royal in colour 89 (100% merino wool, 50g/100m).

Alternative yarn: merino wool, wool, wool mixes (wool with synthetics) which correspond to the original yarn weight. For example, Lana Gatto Maxi Soft, YarnArt Imperial Merino, Gazzal Wool 90, Profil Merino Extra 90, Mondial Superwool, Lana Grossa Merino Wool.
