Hat Trick +1
In soccer & hockey a “hat trick” happens when 1 person scores 3 goals in the same game. Here is 1 pattern with 3 edgings…plus the option to leave it plain. The other “trick” is that each side has a different texture – and either can be worn showing.
The hat can be made with bulky or worsted weight yarn and any of the edging options:
o Contrasting Brim Edge
o Ribbed Edge
o Rolled Brim Edge
o Plain Edge (beanie style)
This pattern uses only basic stitches: half double crochet, single crochet, chain stitch and slip stitch.
The unique textures result from inserting the hook through different places in the stitches.
Size: 20” circumference (Hat easily stretches 3”);8” top of crown to bottom of edging. The hat is worked from the top down, in a spiral, giving opportunity to adjust to your preferred fit.
