What a more perfect baby shower gift than a baby blanket showing baby sea turtles making their way to the ocean!

The Hatchling’s Journey Baby Blanket is a 36” by 36” baby blanket knit in worsted yarn. Directions for the turtle hatchlings and for the sea stars are included.

Materials Required:

• 440 yds each of a sand color (A), sea foam color (B), mid-depths color (C), and deep waters color (D) in worsted weight yarn (the sample used KnitPicks Brava Worsted in Almond, Clarity, Marina, and Tide Pool)
• 220 yds each of a kelly green (E), dark green (F), and preferred starfish color (G) in worsted weight (the sample used KnitPicks Brava Worsted in Dublin, Grass, and then a variety of scrap yarn for the starfish)
• Size US 7 40” circular needles (you may also want US 7 dpns if you prefer not to use the magic loop method)

Techniques Used:

• I-cord cast on
• I-cord bind off
• I-cord edging
• Knit & purl stitches
