This pattern is for a traditional mans shooting sock with a two colour turn down cuff although I wear these socks myself with wellingtons as they are perfectly sized for us ladies to wear over trousers with the cuff turned over the top of the boots. The size is give for a medium sized man although the ribbing on the leg gives enough stretch for these socks to fit most men.

I used approximately 200gms scottish pure new wool for the socks and approximately 25gms in a contrast colour for the cuffs
