Hathaway is crocheted from the top in a spiral and then the ribbing is worked back and forth in join-as-you-go rows. Pattern includes a beanie version and two slouchy versions: one is narrow and sleek and the other one is fuller and drapey.

Beanie:
• Approx. 140 (147, 156, 164) yd./
128 (134, 143, 150) m

Slouchy (either version):
• Approx. 181 (191, 203, 212) yd./
166 (175, 184, 194) m

The fuller slouchy uses a larger hook for the body to create a fabric with more drape.

One of the sample hats is crocheted in a yarn mix of Willow & Lark Nest in Heather (DK weight) and Willow & Lark Plume in Tea Dance (mohair-silk lace weight), a strand of each held together to equal a worsted weight yarn. Each strand in a yarn mix will take approx. the same amount of yarn as listed for worsted weight.
