The Hattie V Neck is a cropped short sleeve top with colour block granny square panelling and matching granny square sleeves. With a cute button-up front and a comfy, boxy fit, this top is a great make for wearing throughout Summer, styled with almost anything!

As it’s quite a modular garment it’s easy to work up once you have the hang of the different techniques. It’s designed to be made with cotton, but any plant-based yarn will achieve a similar drape.

The upper body is worked out of simple treble rows so it’s easy to add or remove length to create the length you desire! You could also add enough granny squares to the sleeve to create a ¾ or even full length sleeve. (Note: adding or removing length will affect the amount of yarn required)

It is an intermediate pattern, but I encourage confident beginners to have a go!

Bust sizes given as XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X): 81 (90, 108, 117, 126, 135, 144, 153, 162) cm requiring: 426 (464, 593, 642, 696, 786, 872, 973, 1068) metres of Yarn A AND 293 (318, 368, 394, 435, 461, 502, 528, 553) metres for the squares, regardless of how many colours you choose.

This pattern is available in both UK & US terminology so you don’t have to translate stitches!
