You’ll never know what will be lurking behind the trees when stepping into a haunted forest! At first glance, you may assume these are just ghouls, but while I was creating these socks I learned they were quite different. I call them Blobby Creatures.

What are Blobby Creatures? They are amorphous beings whose true form cannot be discerned by mere mortals, and may actually have representatives from more than one species. They are quite curious, and while they usually stick to the shadows of the trees in the forest, if it feels like someone is watching you…they probably are.

When creating these, I knew the challenge of having a scene on the socks would be foot length. The main chart has 120 total rows to accommodate longer feet. My sample uses the first 100 rows. For people with shorter feet, there are a couple of earlier suggested stopping points in the pattern. The idea is that you may stop knitting the leg and foot whenever you are happy with their lengths.
