Haunted Mittens
Haunted Mittens is a Halloween addition to my collection of mitten patterns that look like houses. The other two patterns can be found here.
Materials
• US Size 0 (2mm) set of dpns or circular needles (for Magic Loop method); US size 00 (1.75mm) for ribbing (optional)
• Fingering weight yarn – 191 y / 50 g (175 m / 50 g). You will need approx. 272 y /249 m / 71 g total
BC – black:257 y /144 m / 41 g
CC1 – white: 96 y / 88 m / 25 g
CC2 – orange: 19 y / 17 m / 5 g
Gauge
18 sts x 18.5 rows (in stranded colorwork knitting in the round) in 2” x 2” after blocking
Notes
1. Size: The mittens are 68 stitches in the hand part. With recommended yarn, needles, and gauge the mittens should fit an 8” circumference hand. To make larger size mittens use larger needles or thicker yarn.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Make sure to catch longer floats using preferred method.
The fun sample mittens are by Heli-keiju, aimeeRN and Zwulli. Thank you! ♥♥♥
