This pattern is on honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every family has been effected by this horrible disease, for my family it was my Grandmother. Her strong will fought breast cancer twice and still lives today cancer free. This pair is also in honor of her. For the month of October, all proceeds made towards this pattern will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation

This pattern includes five downloadable pdf files, one for the written directions, and four pdf files for colorwork charts (left mitten, right mitten, thumb, and boarder). This pattern calls for 2 differently colored skeins of the Woolike yarn by Loops and Threads, however, another size 1 yarn can be used. Woolike has a lot of yardage and I use about a 4th of each skein when knitting one pair of mittens, so one skein of each color is plenty. Please use the end on the outside of the skein to save yourself hours of untangling. This pattern calls for US size 2 double pointed needles and is worked in the round. You can use size 1 needles if your hands are smaller than a women’s medium.
