Havin’ A Good Time
Are you Havana Good Time yet? This cropped tank is the definition of a good time - entertaining and quick to knit and a blast to wear! Choose a variegated yarn like Spincycle Dyed in the Wool and let the color changes blow your mind. This cute tank can be worn as a layering piece over a dress or shirt, or by itself with some high waisted bottoms!
Construction:
Cropped tank is worked from the bottom up beginning with a tubular cast for front and back separately, creating a split hem that is worked in 1 x 1 rib, with the back being slightly longer than the front. The front and back are then connected to work in slip-stitch pattern in the round to the underarm. Tank is then divided into front and back sections, where armscye decreases take place and pattern is worked flat. Front and back are further divided into left and right halves, where front neckline is bound off and straps are worked in pattern and then placed on waste yarn. Then the back is worked to a higher neckline, where neckline is bound off and straps are worked in pattern. Straps are joined by 3 needle bind off. Neckline and armhole sts are picked up and knit in a ribbed binding, then bound off with tubular bind off.
