Hawk/Falcon Hat
This is for the pattern only, not for the finished hat.
Customize the colors for your favorite sports team, make it a solid color, or just have fun with the colors. The possibilities are endless! My favorite is Seahawks’ colors.
Pattern is in American English and is rated for an experienced beginner.
Gives instructions for the beanie in 7 sizes, a set of fierce looking eyes and a beak for each hat size.
Stitches used:
chain, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, single crochet decrease and picot= ch 2, slst into the 2nd chain from the hook (on the beak only). Magic circle= optional (gives alternative to magic circle in pattern notes).
Materials needed:
G (4.25mm), H (5mm), I (5.5mm), and J (6 mm) crochet hooks
#4 worsted weight yarn in 4 colors
yarn needle/scissors
Sizes are:
Newborn to 3 months – 5” high, 13 ½” in circumference (fits up to 14”)
3-6 months – 5 ½ ” high, 15” in circumference (fits up to 16”)
6-12 months – 6 ¼” high, 16” in circumference (fits up to 18”)
Toddler/Preschooler – 7” high, 18” in circumference (fits up to 19”)
Child – 7 ½ ” high, 19” in circumference (fits up to 20”)
Teen/Adult – 8” high, 20 ½-21” in circumference (fits up to 22”)
Large Adult – 8 ½” high, 22 ½-23” in circumference (fits up to 24”)
