I wanted to write a pattern for a tam that has a smoother decreasing transition on the crown than my “Slightly Slouchy Tam” pattern, that has a very distinct spiral pleating. This hat fits an average teen or adult head size of 20 - 22 inches. It’s an easy pattern that works up quick with only one skein of bulky yarn. The name of the tam is taken from the name of the colour of the yarn I used.
