Haydn Sweater
Franz Joseph Haydn is the Father of the Symphony. The Hadyn Sweater is a top-down saddle sleeve sweater with neutral ease. The broken rib stitch creates gentle vertical lines reminscent of cascading musical staffs, accented by the star stitch pattern used for the saddles, collar, and trim.
The pattern is written for 16 sizes ranging from a 30”(75cm) finished bust up to a 60”(150cm) finished bust and includes a pattern schematic detailing the different measurements of the finished sweater. (See Photos)
The Haydn Sweater uses DK weight yarn with the expected yardage requirements as follows:
1050 yards(1200, 1320, 1450), (1570, 1720, 1860), (1980, 2110, 2200), (2290, 2390, 2480), (2570, 2660, 2750)
961 meters(1097, 1207, 1326), (1436, 1573, 1701), (1810, 1930, 2012), (2094, 2186, 2268), (2350, 2433, 2515)
Needles: US Size 6 (4.0 mm) 24-50 inch and 16 inch (61-127cm and 41cm) circular needles, or size necessary to achieve gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, progress keepers or safety pins, three stitch holders or scrap yarn
Ease: Garment is designed to be worn with neutral ease. Sample is knit in size E and modeled with neutral ease.
